I don't necessarily see pills as trading one addiction for another, but more like a shortcut that almost always ends up in being taken in vein. The problem with pills is that they're not needed, and frequently are used in lieu of healthy eating and exercise, when they're ALL meant to be used in conjunction with them. But I hear what you're saying.
