Well I turn 40 May 1st and I still have 20lbs to go. I've decided to go on what's called the velocity diet. I'm going to do this for 30 days only and then back to my regular eating habits which was maintaining my weight of 230 to 235lbs depending on what was going on..

I've also had to massively change my workout routine due to injuries and the fact that I can't continue to lift heavy without doing damage to my tendons.
My diet is pretty much looking like this:
Morning - 46g whey protein, 24g of casein protein, 1 cup of oatmeal, 5 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of almond butter about 10g carbs and 2g fat
Mid morning/pre-workout - 46g whey protein drink and 2 servings non-fat cottage cheese
After workout - 46g protein/40g carbs which includes 25g sugar (insulin spike post workout)
Mid Afternoon - 2 servings non-fat cottage cheese
Dinner - 1 serving of meat - various and a large salad with vinegarette
Pre-bed - 24g casein protein in 4 cups water
I started last week on this diet and I've gone from 236 to 230lbs as of this morning. I now have 20lbs to go.
Yesterdays workout was:
135lb flat bench - 8 reps/8 sets 15 seconds rest
25lb incline fly's - 8 reps/8 sets 15 seconds rest
25lb weighed bench dips - 8 reps/8 sets 15 seconds rest
20lb decline dumbell hammer skull crushers - 8 reps/8 sets 15 seconds rest
Cardio - last night 1.5 hours of medium/low intensity on bike at wrestling practice.
Today is legs!!!
