Muhammad Ali joins health food market
LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 28 (UPI) -- Muhammad Ali has teamed with candy company Mars Inc. to develop a health-snack line aimed at battling child obesity.

The low-calorie food line will begin with fruit snacks and other baked goods, shaped liking boxing paraphernalia with names like Rumble, Shuffle and Jabs, The New York Times reports.

This is the first attempt in the food market by Ali through his new company GOAT Food and Beverage. GOAT stands for Greatest of All Time.

Ali stands to make a profit from the deal, although his camp wouldn't disclose how much, he said he agreed to do it because the healthy snacks are aimed at children, the Times said.

Kelly D. Brownell, head of Yale University's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, told the Times the concept of the food line is well intended, but the stigma of health food not tasting good could hamper sales, thus not have the effect Ali wants on children.
