If however you said that people with a bodyfat percentage over 25% are pre-disposed towards chronic disease and death you would be MUCH more accurate.
Let's look at this hypothesis:
People over 25% bodyfat have a high BMI (this is not necessarily true, there are "skinny fat people" out there too). The problem is not everyone with a high BMI is over 25% bodyfat. See the problem?
Same logic:
Women named Sue have red hair BUT not every Sue has red hair neither are all red heads named Sue.
