| Re: BMI FAQ Muscle is not considered extra weight, it's considered part of the lean body mass. It is healthy to have and helps burn calories. Fat is not, it just takes up resources to and drains off your body.
BTW for me to be "normal" with BMI I'd have to weight under 195lbs at 196lbs I'd be overweight. I can tell you there is no way in hell I'm getting to 195lbs...
