| Re: Hi I'm Lucia welcom to the site.....and i understand about the eating less and gaining weight i'm the same. when you dont eat your metabolism slows down and your body stores everything as fat. I have found if i eat more often but healthier food i can lose weight and i have energy to exercise. I started out eating just lean meat and and veggies for 2 weeks no carbs or sugars at all...then started adding back in the good carbs like whole grain breads and pastas. it is along the lines of the south beach diet but not as strict....and it isnt really a diet it is a change in lifestyle. anytime i feel hungry if it isnt time for a meal i eat a snack like a granola bar or some pistachios or trail mix or even fruit or veggies. you can eat every 2-3 hours just make it portions. and there are all kinds of things you can do in your daily life to burn a few extra calories. like instead of looking for the closest parking space park in the furthest one out that you can walk from. and when you clean the house crank up the music and dance around while you clean just silly stuff like that and taking the kiddos on nature walks is always a fun way to get exercise....every little bit you can do will make a difference
