Re: heya :)

cutting out fatty foods is a good start. The way I started was I cut out all carbs like breads and pastas and all sugar for 2 weeks. Just meat and veggies with low fat cheese. I lost 14lbs the first 2 weeks. Mostly water weight. But after the 2 weeks I started adding carbs back in but I try to only whole grain breads and pasta's now and if I eat white bread I eat very little. Counting calories is another good way to go. Alot of people on here do it and are very successful. It didnt work for me because I didnt like have to measure and figure out how many calories are in something. So I just eat smaller portions of healthier foods than I used to and I dont skip meals very often anymore.
I understand about having a job where you sit all day. I was just at a job where I worked 10 hour days answering phones. It was a drag. But I got to where instead of staying at my desk on my breaks I would go for a walk around the building or go to the fitness room and walk on the treadmill. It was only like 5-10 min at a time on my breaks but that was 3 times a day plus I spent 30 min of my lunch on the treadmill too. It made a difference. Even the little things can help. Like when you drive to a store instead of driving around wasting gasoline looking for the closest parking space park in the first one you see as far out as you think you can walk from. The more you move the more calories you'll burn and that means weight lost.
