| Workout Question Is anyone here doing circuit training with aerobic intervals? I ask because doing so with the right workout will elevate your heart rate for 20 minutes and throw your metabolism into overdrive. This kind of workout is for those who want to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. Why want to gain muscle as well? Because a gain of 2 or 3 pounds of muscle means you'll expend an additional 70 to 100 calories a day. Plus you know, having muscles is cool...
And in case anyone is curious at to what that kind of workout is, it's for example...doing dumbbell bench presses then running in place for 60 seconds then going to squats and doing jumping jacks for 60 seconds etc so you keep active throughout the entire workout so your heart rate stays elevated.
