| Re: Sex, drugs & rock`n roll losing weight and keeping it off isnt about going on a diet or taking pills it is a life change. it is something you'll be doing for the rest of your life if you are commited to it. you have to change the amount you eat and what you eat and how often you eat and exercise. if you want to be successful. if you just count your calories you'll lose weight but if you are eating unhealthy foods all the time you'll be thinner but maybe not healthier. I've cust out ALOT of carbs all sugars except what is natrually in the foods no sodas. I eat mosty veggies and lean meats with some whole grain breads and pastas thrown in here and there. I have 3 meals a day plus small snacks in between I feel like i'm eating all day long but i'm still losing weight and seldom feel hungry. I have more energy now than i did before and i'm not sleeping all day long on my days off I'm actually gettin up before 9am. Diet pills that do cause weight loss are usually only a quick fix and as soon as you stop taking them you will usually gain the weight back unless you've made some serious changes to you life like eating habits and exercise. I watched my mom over the years try diet pill after diet pill only to fail everytime. but when she finally decided to change her eating habbits she lost about 60lbs and kept it off for about 4 years till her back finally went out on her for good and the depression set in and she started to eat all the time. now she is going back to the eating habits she had when she lost the weight the last time and is losing again. it is slower without diet pills but it is healthier and more long term with out them
