Not so much.
You can use bands for compound exercises just as much as you can for isolation exercises.

Hmmm, I'm not sure I follow you. Are you saying compound exercises are the only thing that can lead to hypertrophy?
If so, that's not the case.
And what do you mean by definition. Isolation exercises don't 'give definition.' Fat loss is what defines someone.
There are a number of factors that must be there for hypertrophy to occur, regardless of isolation vs. compound.
