I have been doing this diet under the watchful eye of my doctor.... When I first started, I was only taking in 800 calories a day, and he almost DEMANDED that I up the calories, so we talked about uping them to 1000, I did 1,000 calories for about 2 weeks, and still wasn't losing any weight. So he upped me to 1200 calories and i'm losing weight at a pretty rapid pace. I just went to him last week, he looked over my food journal, and what exercise I had been doing, and he's pleased with my progress and so am I.
my 15 year old daughter goes to a different dr than mine, and he sugggested a 1500 calorie diet for her. I also talked to him about my diet and he said it was perfectly healthy.
I have been cautioned by BOTH doctors though, if i'm going to eat 1200 calories a day, i have to make them count. Instead of a 150 calorie candy bar, I have to eat an orange and some nuts..... I have to make the calories count, it won't work if i eat the 1200 calories in junk.....
I appreciate your concern, but I am being watched by my doctor
