Big John, what a lot of people don't realize is that most obesity surgeries aren't long term solutions by themselves. They're a quick temporary fix, and in order for the results to be permanent, you will still have to change your eating habits permanently. In fact, a lot of doctors require their patients to lose weight before they'll even perform the surgery.

I've seen obesity surgeries help a lot of people and I'm not saying you should not consider it, but I just don't want you to go into the obesity surgery thinking you just have the surgery and that's it forever, because it's not that simple. Sass63 is a good member to talk to about this, you may want to consider sending her a Private Message, as I'm sure she'd be more than happy to help!
