Any exercise is better than no exercise at all.....but the best bang for your buck starts coming after the 20 minute mark is what they're saying.

That's one reason HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is so popular. Studies have shown that 20 minutes of HIIT burns more fat than 60 minutes of a steady paced cardio. Sometimes quality of exercise beats quantity.
