Welcome aboard Ed.
What are some of your GP concerns with your health? And how do you yourself feel about this kind of surgery.

This is what I think the first step should be. Let me back up a min here I had a gastric rny in 1999 and at the time was 427lbs. And my health was so bad I would have died long before now if something hadnt been done.

But the surgery is not a cure all. Weightloss is a battle a continious fight,even for those of us that have the surgery. There are lots of emtional issues to account for this and that have to be delt with.

Lots of people including myself have had the surgery then gained enormous amounts of weight back. Before I desided that I had to make a lifestyle change to live and to be as healthy as i can be I gained a lot of weight back. With that said,this is why I asked the 2 questions I asked.
