I'm curious, did you find this information on the internet?
Not exactly no, what happened was this, I bought a book called The Fat Stripping Diet by Shane Bilsborough an aussie, was written c2000.

Anyway I'm an accountant and was interested in the seemingly complex equations that he was using to basically equate to how much you would need to walk or run to work off various food intakes, for example a chocolate bar. Anyway his figures were a given meaning he didnt explain them and I worked out from a calorie counter online that they weren't adding through so being the inquisitive bugger that I am I found his email address on line and basically sent him a nice email thanking him for educating me but pointing out what I considered to be discepencies.

Low and behold I got a nice reply from him basically telling me that it was a complicated equation but that the average person couldn't grasp easily so he had left out all the complexities of the equation and just gave the figures as 'given'

But he did explain fat was burnt off about 50% during this period and gave me an example. Working back I equated my original figures as being the 550 calories divided by two for the 50% then divided again by 9 which is in grams (waht the rest of the world weighs in ) and then found an on line calculator to put it in ounces otherwise you Americans wouldn't never know what this aussie is waffling on about lol.

The books a great read and very informative, its on ebay I think and was very cheap. In fact you could say that book has changed my life. Regards
