I have definetly been pushing myself. I usually increment my time by at least a minute every week. I suspect it will take me a while to get up to the 35 minute mark.
I too have noticed the huge difference between running inside and outside, and I will train outside as well, but only when the weather gets better (April or May of next year), people are usually pretty good about shoveling their sidewalks, but I don't want to hit an icy patch and break myself.
