It's easier to shoot for 10lbs at a time instead of trying to tackle all 150 at once in your mind. Weight loss is a lot easier than most people think, and we've gotten a lot of people into a healthier lifestyle that has helped them drop the weight.
Have you figured out how you would like to approach losing weight? Exercise? Eating changes? Both? Any timeframe you'd like to lose weight by? |
Yeah, I'm going to make a bunch of "mini goals" so that it seems more attainable.
I'm going to try just counting calories - between 1,200-1,600 calories a day. I'm also going to do Walk Away The Pounds dvd's, since I have quite a collection. My timeframe... I'd like to be close to my goal by my 23rd birthday (February 6th of 2009), if not already there.
When I was 14/15, I lost 50 pounds in 4-5 months, so I know I can do this. I just need to find that drive again that I had before. Then, it was I was close to 200 pounds and didn't want to reach that... now, I'm close to 300... and it's the same thing. I
can't reach that, that number terrifies me.
