I would like to lose 75-77 lbs by my birthday May 31st when I will be 49
Can it be done? I may have to extend my date to lose it forever. Realistically I guess it would take about a year. |
That is a VERY aggressive goal and would require you to lose about 2.5lbs a week......I'll throw up some calcs........OK....
With 1/2 hour of exercise a day, your body is going to burn roughly 2175 calories a day.
If you wanted to lose 2lbs a week, you'd have to eat 1175 calories a day on average. In order to lose 2.5lbs a week like you're hoping to do, you'd have to eat 925 calories a day, and that my dear is just not enough.
I think for now to be safe shoot for 1175 calories a day, and if you exercise as you say you will (1/2 hour a day) you will lose roughly 2lbs a week.
That will get you close to your goal.....at least a 60lb weight loss by your next birthday.
The only "safe" way IMO to lose that 2.5lbs per week to hit your goal would be to add more than 1/2 hour of exercise to your routine. If you did a full hour of hard exercise a day 5-6 days a week I think you could pull it off.
