Perhaps Steve would like to tell us how many grams of protein we need per pound of body weight and if that amount is based on how much lean muscle we have or total body weight.
High protien diets are unsafe. | Americans diet is scewed towards high glycemic carbs and bad fat, both need to be cut and for the most part people are hugely lacking in protein intake. The government suggests somehwere in the range of .6 to .8g per pound of body weight (total) however at least 1 if not closer to 2 is much better for you as you're trying to either cut weight and keep muscle or gain muscle mass. The key is to make sure that your body NEVER goes after your LBM between meals.
