I've seen cases of people, especially women, having to drop to 8 calories per pound with cardio and resistance training.

That said, how long have you been dieting straight, without break? As OD was eluding to, sometimes a break is all that's needed to sort of 'metabolically reset' some adaptations brought on from chronic dieting.

By break, I mean eating around maintenance for a good week or so.
