A lot of my lack of imagination with food revolves around having to provide meals for the family, and my husband is a notoriously picky eater. If I cook, there's a 50/50 chance he just won't eat it, and will go hungry or eat something else. He will always eat fast food, or a pizza, or something like that, so I stopped trying to cook so much and just relied on those things. I stopped thinking about varieties of foods and how to be creative.
I have to really abandon the idea of cooking for him, I guess. I am open to a huge variety of foods so there's no reason why I can't come up with healthy foods to eat on a daily basis.... I just need to get the ambition together to try new recipes |
i don't see why you should have to suffer because hubby is picky. if he wants fast food, fine, but none for you. i say keep on cooking, and once he sees you dropping pounds he may change his tune. eating healthy does rub off on others, just as his eating bad has been rubbing off on you.
