Smile Hey All! Newbie Here!

Hey all!

I've been searching for an online community for support in my weight loss...this site really looks promising.

Okay, Intro... I am Stephanie, I am 23 years old and at my highest weight I was 420 pounds. There I said it, err...typed it. My parents don't even know this, only me and my doctor. I started a new diet and exercise program in April and I am now down to 388 and two dress sizes.

The main reason I want to lose my weight is this: Almost 7 years ago my family lost my only sibling, my brother. (Not due to weight issues, he had many many health problems his whole life) I am my parents only child left, and at the rate I was going, it looked like they were going to have to bury another child. I just couldn't do that to them.

Also, I want to feel my age!! I feel like im in my forties! I want to go out with friends and not feel like the chaperone. I want to go out and not have so many anxieties. I want to go out in public and be able not to hear people make "quiet" jokes to themselves about my weight.

I know I got me here, I did it. I'm not blaming anyone but myself. But I need emotional help too. My best friend is a size 0. I am not joking...seriously. She is a Nutrionist, and is great for food advice, but she cannot even fathom how I feel. I know there are others out there that feel the same way I do.

What I have been doing for the past couple months is going to a doctor, I am on an apetite suppressant: Diethylprop and having weekly HCG injections. I know the apetite supressants are working I am not so sure about the injections. Also major diet change, I'm southern so no sweet tea! Seriously I have cut all fast food it was extremely hard, but after seeing Super Size Me I know I am better off with out it. Also I am excerising more, I try to walk 3 miles a day. If I don't do that I have an aerobics tape I love to use.
