I developed th stricture at the end of the new stomach. I have to get it stretched every few months. It caused reflux, vomiting and tooth loss. I now wear dentures. The reflux also caused adult onset asthma.
I have severe osteoporosis - despite the vitamins and calcium supplements And the usual treatments are contraindicated because of gastric size. I am supposed to get the shot BUT its $16,000 per year and my insurance, if I would be approved, has a $2,000 co-pay. It has attacked my spine and I have 4 areas in the spine with decalcification.
I have had several bouts with anemia. I had to have trnasfusions 4 times in the past years.
I still need some skin removed- not as much as one would think because I did exercise. That was key.
I wish someone would make an UNSWEET protein supplement.
I get livid with people who think this was the easy way to lose weight. |

Wow! That's the worst thing I've ever heard!!! I totally agree that a lot of people think that obesity surgery is an easy program that fixed you for life.
People still have to make the same eating and lifestyle changes after the obesity surgery anyway as they would should they have chosen to lose weight naturally, and I don't think a lot of people understand this going into the process.
