Work Stress - Well I think you already got the picture here
But here's an example for those that don't know. Since I was out of work yesterday they had a crisis they can't seem to deal with 2 actually, I made the mistake of checking my e-mail. On one I emailed the director and politely and professionally gave him the directions how to handle it and equally politely and professionally told him to give it to someone else, even though all had already ran in fear from it. The other I need to deal with when I get back on Thursday... along with everything else. Family stress - Both parents recently diagnosed with different yet serious (eventually debilitating) chronic conditions Wife's Business - doing well but demanding A LOT of my time these days Not enough exercise - but can't figure out where I am going to fit it in Just to name a few of the issues. I will stop here before I start to sound like I am whining There are more tests to come though to make sure there is nothing else going on.
And after typing all this, especially the bit about work, the headache came back so I am thinking stress is a good diagnosis here. I am going to get the additional tests my MD wants and I am going to go talk to some people next week hopefully to see what I can do about getting the heck out of there (job), all I need is comparable pay and less garbage to deal with. I need something else between where I am and where I want to be career wise or my current job may kill me before I get there. I guess I was not cut out for the higher stress areas of IT. Which is surprising since years ago I was in physical security in a place that pretty much got me into a confrontation every other day and I had no health problems at all.
