I have joined this forum in hopes to help and be helped.
I am on a mission to find a "cure" for my carb cravings. These are both physical and emotional. But the physical (gnawing stomach) is the one that is pulling me under everytime. So If anyone knows if a magic potion or what to remove from my diet. Please let me know.
I know that some of it is stress related and have tried chromium picolinate a long time ago and it did not work. Ia m going to try again thought
Thanks and look forward to a great give and take relationship

Welcome to the site Kate! Trust me when I say there are no magic potions/pills that are a cure all. Most of the diet pills out there are only meant to supplement healthy eating and exercise, there is no "take this pill and watch the weight fly off" option.

We can help you set up a healthy eating plan for yourself and show you waht you have to eat in order to lose the right amount of weight to help you acheive your goals, but at the end of the day you have to be willing to make the commitment to follow it. It helps to avoid buying these bad carb filled items at the store in the first place. If they're not in your house, you're not going to be able eat them, right?

There are also some other tricks that people emplore to help them out with weight loss, such as:
  • Eating your food VERY slow
  • Putting a picture of how you looked at your worst and at your best on the fridge or where your snacks are as a deterrant to eating more. Some people do the same with scales instead of pictures.
  • Drink A LOT of water. Not only is it good for you, but it gives you a slight feeling of fullness. I recommend a gallon a day if you can pull it off.
  • Write the nutritional breakdown of what you are eating (calories, carbs, fat, protein) so you can visually see what you are eating.
  • Getting rid of junk food, ditching regular sodas, etc, as those are a major source of calories.
