What's worked the best for me and my clients is simple: Eat a balanced, calorically-controlled diet.

I tend to follow the path of least resistance. Why exclude whole food groups? (don't have to answer this, I've been in this debate more times than I care to count)

The more restrictions placed on individuals, the less likely they are to succeed, IMO based on the people I've worked with.
