I throw up a lot, I'm exhausted, my brain isn't functioning right, and I have no energy for the activities I used to participate in (dancing, hiking, boating).

My new motto has become "I feel like $h!t, but I look fabulous".

I'm hoping to see if others have experienced the same difficulty, and how they overcame it, and suggestions on how to get through this difficult time.
One explanation could be your diet. Are you taking the recommended nutrients?

Sometimes certain foods will make you vomit or feel yucky. It may take trial and error to see which foods work for you. Trying new foods one at a time will help you figure out which foods cause problems. Harder foods to digest include:
  • Tough meat, especially red meat
  • Dairy
  • Carbonated drinks
  • Bread
  • Pasta/rice
  • Fatty or fried foods

You could have dumping syndrome which comes from food passing too quickly from the stomach to the small intestine. Some of the symptoms are: rapid heartbeat, nausea, feeling cold/clammy, and possibly diarrhea.

To prevent dumping:
  • Do not drink liquids w/ meals. Wait 30 minutes after a meal to start sipping 0 calorie, non-carbonated drinks.
  • Avoid sweets, such as candy, cookies, and ice cream.

This could just take time. It would help to know what you are eating though.
