Are there any redeeming factors about TV? We all know that TV watching promotes couch potato behavior. This article addresses our childrens body image being effected by what they watch on TV. Kids have a hard enough time learning how and where they fit in socially. They sure don't need to feel that in order to be pretty or handsome one has to be either an anorexic or a body builder. From the time our children start watching TV they are bombarded with inappropriate messages about body image. We all should examine and monitor what our kids watch. We may be setting them up for lifelong body imagae problems! The ball is in our court. If we don't object and do something about what TV promotes, then it will only get worse.
