BINGO! The parents choose the food, pay for the food, and leave the food around for the kids to do with as they please.
[The following is a dramatization.]
Lawyer holds up a box of Kelloggs Corn Pops, and says to the child on the stand "Please pour your usual bowl of cereal in the morning."
Little Johnny pours a while, and when he is done, the attorney weighs the result.
"Now, please add the milk."
Little Johnny pours a while, and when he is done, the attorney measures how much was poured.
"Hmm, let the record show that little Johnny poured 4 servings of Froot Loops into this bowl, totalling 600 calories. And three cups of milk, totalling another 300 calories. Johnny, is that your usual breakfast?"
"No, your bowl was too small, we use old butter tubs for our bowls, they have lids so we can shake the cereal and milk with some sugar. It makes it sweeter."
"How much sugar to you pour into the bowl?"
"Oh, I dunno, I just count to five"
"I don't understand."
"I tip the sugar thingy over, count to five, and then I am done."
"Can you count to five for us here?"
"1 misipi, 2 misipi, 3 misipi, 4 misipi, 5 misipi."
"Hmm, and your parents see you do this?"
"Nope, they are still asleep 'cause they watch Court TV at night. They say they are gonna hit the lottery one day if they can just find the right folks to sue."
"Thank you Johnny, you are a good little boy."
"Then why is my daddy turning all red and looking like does when he spanks me?"
